2024 Championship Launch Night

All roads led to the Claddagh Ring in Hendon on Friday 14th June for the launch of the 2024 London Ladies Championship competition.


County Chairperson and Holloway Gael member, Aisling Clifford, kicked off the night by thanking the sponsors of the Junior and Intermediate Championships and wished everyone involved in the upcoming games the best of luck.


President Elect of the LGFA, Trina Murray, who flew over for the event expressed her delight at the continued growth and development of ladies football in London. She highlighted the important role the wider community play in the facilitation of our sport and reiterated the appreciation the association has for all the sponsors, club personnel and coaches who give their time to the game. She thanked all the players about to start their Championship games for their dedication and passion for ladies football, ensuring it's success and growth outside the borders of Ireland.

On the night the London County team were officially presented with their new jerseys, kindly sponsored by O'Reilly's sportwear. The clothing company from Donegal have invested hugely into London ladies at both senior and youth level. Aisling Clifford thanked Martin and Stephen O'Reilly for being with them on the night, along with other major sponsors ROL Construction and The Thatched House pub. Holloway duo Ciara and Michaela represented the Holloway contingent of the London panel on the night.
