ANN DUNNING MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT

Stunning Dunning

Every year we host the Ann Dunning Memorial Tournament to remember and honour our club co-founder. Ann was just 34 years old, when in 2006, she was diagnosed with choriocarcinoma, a rare and aggressive cancer of the placenta. The chance of a pregnant woman getting the disease is 1 in 50,000. She passed away a month after giving birth to her son.

Ann has gone down in Holloway Gaels history, not only as club co-founder, but also for captaining Holloway to their first ever London Junior Championship Title in 1998.

More recently, the tournament has been run in conjunction with our friends at North London Shamrocks and has become known as the Ann Dunning Memorial and Chloe Cup Tournament. The Chloe Cup is in memory of Chloe Quillec, who passed away in 2018, aged just 14 from a brain tumour.
